The former President Aspirant of the Alliance Democratic Party, Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray is currently receiving treatment at the Connaught Teaching hospital.

A nurse at the hospital who prefers to remain anonymous told Awoko Newspaper after we visited the hospital to clarify the information (Location Withheld).

You will recall that Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray is answering six counts of sexual related offenses before Justice Samuel Taylor, together with one Marion Arouni.

The State alleges that on 14th February, 2020 Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray had sexual intercourse with a child in Kono, the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone. Since he was arrested and charged to court, the accused has been in detention despite being granted bail.

But the health condition of the ADP’s former president candidate has been on the spotlight in both the print and electronic media.

Last year, Kamarainba collapsed in court, which forced the medics at the Correctional Center to examine the accused and later detailed a medical report that was presented to the Judge.

Justice Taylor had earlier granted bail to him but he is yet to meet the condition. The accused is reportedly responding to treatment with security personnel looking over his shoulder.
