Chairman of the Presidential Initiative for Climate Change, Renewable Energy, and Food Security, Hon. Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, has made a significant arrival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, ahead of the much-anticipated Conference of the Parties (COP28) summit.

This event, scheduled from November 30th to December 12th, is a pivotal gathering organized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the United Arab Emirates.

In his capacity as a representative of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, Hon. Yumkella is poised to lead Sierra Leone’s delegation, contributing the nation’s perspective and commitment to global climate action.

The former lawmaker is not only tasked with showcasing Sierra Leone’s efforts in addressing climate change but is also expected to engage in various high-level discussions and platforms during the two-week summit.
