The just concluded day 1 ECOFEST saw disappointments from Sierra Leoneans with poor turn out at the National Stadium in Freetown.
ECOFEST Music Festival 2021 was scheduled to take place on the 26th & 27th November at the National Stadium. Due to the poor turn out of Sierra Leoneans, only Miss Jobizz, Kenny Blaq, Di’ja and Master KG were allowed to perform.
On the home base side; Rozzy, Arkman, Morris, Camouflage, Prezo Colabo, Steady Bongo, Joel, Amit, Internet Man, Step Q, Faze Ya Alimamy, Kulish D Baddest, Isha Cee, Leonus D Genius, Ndormahei SB and Diamond Coolest were set to grace the festival. Among them, only Camouflage, Steady Bongo, Joel, Internet Man, Step Q, Faze Ya Alimamy, Isha Cee, Leonus D Genius and Diamond Coolest were given the chance to perform.
Sierraloaded learnt that, the poor turn out of Sierra Leoneans was due to the shift of Mr. P’s performance to Saturday 27th November, 2021 to join his twin brother; Rude Boy since the duo has united. Mr P was the main headliner of day 1 while Rude Boy is for Day 2. Since the duo has united during their 40th birthday celebration after 4 years of having family dispute, they agreed to share the stage together after a while. Having heard that, many Sierra Leoneans decided to wait for Day 2 instead.
However, the festival was massive as there was energetic performance from entertainers. Even though the festival was not full as expected, the performances from musicians both home and abroad and cultural dancers from the districts made the fans to become excited.
As the festival is coming to an end today, many Sierra Leoneans on social media are ready to give their support to the CEO of ECOFEST; Kabaka at the National Stadium.
