The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, through technical staff from the National School Feeding Programme, has participated in the Regional Conference on Nutrition and Early Years in Western and Central Africa, held in Lomé, Togo.
The conference provided a key platform for regional stakeholders to address urgent issues relating to child nutrition and early childhood development across the sub-region.
The Sierra Leonean delegation was led by the Director of Nutrition and Head of Programmes at the National School Feeding Secretariat, Sengbe Roger Koker.
Speaking on the relevance of the conference to community health and national development, Director Koker reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to active dialogue and collaborative initiatives aimed at improving child nutrition outcomes.
