Sierra Leone’s Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs, Manty Tarawalli is set to lead a delegation that will take part in the 67th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.

The Delegation is expected to depart Sierra Leone by the weekend for the event slated for the 6th -17th of march, 2023.

The event is structured on the theme: ‘’Innovation and technology change, and education in the digital age’’.

Minister Tarawalli is expected to deliver a country statement on the 6th of March 2023 followed by other side events on different days in the course of the event.

She will be focusing on advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women in Sierra Leone, strengthening efforts for the prevention of and response to sexual and gender-based violence in Sierra Leone, building adolescent girls and power, and feminist approaches to financing and program.
