The Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs, Isata Mohoi has on the 22nd August 2023 engaged the United Nations resident coordinator Babatunde Ahonsi and team on issues of mutual understanding and development.

The curtsey call by the united nation’s team was to re-affirm their commitment and ensuring gender mainstreaming at all levels is achieved and prioritised which strategic focus through the government’s agenda.

The minister maintained that, Sierra Leone and the united nations have got a long standing relationship which has to be built upon and strengthen at all times in the country for the benefit of both partners.

In a recent development, the minister has also engaged the United Nations women in Sierra Leone on collaborative efforts to continuously uphold and implement the dictates of the GEWE act for promoting gender equality in Sierra Leone.
