The Ministry of Lands and County Planning has established a new office in Kailahun.
The establishment of the Office, according to the Deputy Minister Phyllis Kormoh will help in planning the township of Kailahun and other bigger towns in the district and also address the growing land conflicts between land-owning families and buyers.
The official opening ceremony was held at their office space in Kailahun Town, witnessed by local authorities, land-owning families, and media among others.
Deputy Minister, Phyllis Kormoh, delivering the keynote address assured the people of Kailahun of addressing all land related matters, and further advised citizens of the district to stop taking land matters to court, as the Ministry has the responsibility to address all land related cases.
The Paramount Chief of Luawa chiefdom, Alhaji Mohamed Sama Kailondo Banya expressed gratitude to the Ministry for their presence in the district. He further pledged his total commitment to supporting the ministry to succeed in their stay in the district.
