The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) on Saturday dragged NaCSA, the Commissioner and the Senior Director to court for failing to pay over Five Billion Leones (old Leones) Social Security Contributions for their workers.

The three defendants NaCSA, Commissioner Ernest Ndomahina and Kofi F.O Addai Senior Director were in court before Magistrate Peter Gogra on two different files.

On the first file it was stated that all the Defendants (NaCSA, Ernest Ndomahina and Kofi FO Addai are charged on a count of failing to pay Social Security Contributions Contrary to Section 32 (1) (C) of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act No. 5 of 2001.

according to the particulars of offence, the Defendants NaCSA, Ernest Ndomahina and Kofi F.O Addai, being an Establishment and Employer respectively under the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act No.5 of 2001 on diverse dates between March 2019 to July 2021, at No. 14-16 Charlotte Street, Freetown, failed to pay Social Security Contributions in the Sum of Two Hundred and Twenty Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Five Leones Seventeen cents within the required period.

The second file states that the Defendants (NaCSA, Commissioner Ernest M. Ndomahina and Kofi F.O Addai, between January 2006 to December 2023, being an Establishment and Employer respectively under the National Social Security and Insurance trust Act No.5 of 2001, failed to pay Social Security Contributions in the sum of Five Million and forty six thousand two hundred and sixteen Leones Eight five cents.
