The National Investment Board (NIB) Secretariat has announced the official relocation of the Business Registration Unit, effective Monday, 10th February 2025.
In a public notice, the NIB revealed that the Business Registration Unit, currently situated at the Roxy Building on Walpole Street, Freetown, will move its operations to the NIB Secretariat at No. 3 Jomo Kenyatta Road, Dwozark Junction, Freetown, near Mereweather School.
This move follows Sections 19(3) and 51(a) of the National Investment Board Act No. 49 of 2022, marking the final phase of the institutional integration process outlined in the Act. As a result, all registration activities for Sole Proprietorships and Partnerships will now be handled exclusively at the new NIB Secretariat location.
The NIB has urged that all correspondence and inquiries related to the Business Registration Unit should be directed to the Executive Director of the National Investment Board at the new office.
This relocation is part of a broader government initiative to streamline the business registration process and improve Sierra Leone’s investment climate. By consolidating services under one roof, the government aims to create a more efficient, investor-friendly environment to facilitate business establishment and growth in the country.
The NIB, which was established by an Act of Parliament in 2022, is tasked with promoting investment, supporting investors, and enhancing Sierra Leone’s overall business environment.
