Some Citizens have raised serious concern over the delay in payment of a 10 day contract with the National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA), and have called for an Investigation into the NCRA by the Government of Sierra Leone.

The NCRA is said to have contracted some Sierra Leoneans with the mandate to register and verify school pupils throughout the country, not long ago.

The work according to most of the staff members has been completed on their part but the NCRA has refused to sort out its own part by paying them off.

Reports have indicated that some registration staff members have gone for days without receiving their salaries since they finished the registration and verification of pupils.

This they said have caused distress and frustration to them as they are struggling to make ends meet despite their essential role in providing vital registration services to the public.

The aggrieved staff, called on the Government of Sierra Leone to intervene into the matter.
