The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the newly elected flagbearer of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) has boasted that he knows the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party than anyone else.

The President made this statement after being elected as flagbearer for 2023 Presidential and Parliamentarian election at the party’s National Convention on 29th December, 2021 in Bo Town.

He stated that when he leads the Sierra Leone Peoples Party, he leads for victory. As he defeated the All People’s Congress party during the 2018 general elections, President Bio boasted of defeating them again in the upcoming election. He added that, no one knows the APC party than he does.

“When I lead the SLPP, I lead for victory! Nobody knows the APC than I do! I have beaten them before and I will beat them again,” President Bio boasted.

This the third time President Bio has been elected as the flagbearer of the Sierra Leone People Party. He was elected as flagbearer for 2012 elections which he saw a defeat from the former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma of the All People’s Congress party. He was also elected for the second time as flagbearer during the 2018 general elections in which he emerged as the winner against Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara of the All People’s Congress party. President Bio has been elected again as the party’s flagbearer to lead the 2023 general elections which he said he will defeat the opposition party.
