The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has issued an urgent public notice calling on all businesses and institutions liable for Non-Tax Revenue (NTR) to immediately comply with their statutory obligations or face strict enforcement measures.

The directive targets a broad range of stakeholders, including mining and mineral exploitation companies, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) license holders, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), television and FM radio stations, factory operators, private security companies, liquor license holders, and individuals or entities holding state land leases.

According to the NRA, the move is aimed at strengthening revenue mobilization and ensuring adherence to existing financial regulations. The Authority specifically referenced Section 12 of the Finance Act 2019 as the legal basis for enforcement actions against defaulters.

The notice warns that failure to comply could result in severe penalties, including the sealing of business premises, garnishment of business bank accounts, and restrictions on international travel.

“The NRA urges all affected stakeholders to take this notice seriously and regularize their obligations promptly to avoid these enforcement measures,” the statement emphasized.

Affected entities are encouraged to contact the NRA through its official communication channels for guidance on settling outstanding liabilities.

The notice was issued by order of the Commissioner General.
