The National Water Resources Management Agency (NWRMA) has participated in the World Water Day celebration organised by the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation.
The event brought together government officials, stakeholders, and community members to highlight the importance of sustainable water management and the need to ensure safe and equitable access to water for all.
This year’s theme, “Water and Gender,” underscores the role gender plays in access to water resources and calls for inclusive and sustainable solutions. Improved access to water, officials noted, not only enhances service delivery but also protects dignity, supports education, and creates economic opportunities.
The celebration focused on strengthening collaboration among stakeholders and advancing practical solutions aimed at making clean water accessible to every Sierra Leonean.
In a statement, the NWRMA urged the public to use water responsibly and support efforts to protect water sources and improve access nationwide. “Water is life, and together, we can make a difference,” the Agency stated.
