In a second press briefing held today at 2:30 pm, the Chief Observer of the European Union (EU), Evin Incir, expressed her appreciation for the dedication shown by the people of Sierra Leone and the staff of the National Electoral Commission (NEC) for their early arrival at polling stations across the country.

Addressing the press at Colligate Secondary School, Incir applauded Sierra Leoneans for their commitment to democracy and their eagerness to participate in the electoral process.

Despite the initial delay in starting the polls, she assured the public that voting is now underway in most areas of the nation.
