Former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma and the Chairman of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Interim Transitional Governing Committee (ITGC), Alfred Peter Conteh have met for the first in a while in Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone.
Peter Conteh, who was estranged with many higher cadre members of All People’s Congress (APC) including President Koroma, is part of the meeting as a way on channeling unity as the party is looking forward to end its lower-level elections.
Party supporters have thumbed up the meeting as the most important step as the party prepares for the June 2023 elections.
Although this move is a big step the country’s largest opposition party, some members are still worried that the party is yet to elect a presidential candidate for elections since there are only few months remaining for Sierra Leoneans to go the polls.
This is a right time to put heads together as a poitical party for better plannigs because june 24 is not too fare again .
