The Waterloo Police Division through the Local Unit Commander CSP Ibrahim Mohamed Sama has handed over 8 inmates who escaped from prison during the November 26th, 2023 prison break in Freetown, to the Correctional Service.

These arrested inmates are said to have been re-captured in their hideouts in Waterloo following an intense man-hunt by the Waterloo Police.

According to the police, a total of 45 escaped inmates have been re-arrested in Waterloo and handed over to the Prison Officers to serve their jail terms.
