The Sierra Leone flags, home and in foreign missions, are to be flown at half mast in honour of the passage of Queen Elizabeth II, President Julius Maada Bio has declared.
This follows the passing of the longest resigning British monarch who died on Thursday afternoon.
President Bio and the first Lady, Fatima also signed the book of condolences at the Residence of the British High Commissioner.
Expressing his grief on Social Media, He said he is deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
He described the queens reign as one which was marked by boundless growth, peace and prosperity, making reference to her extraordinary dedication to her Country, the Realms, Commonwealth and the World.
