The staff of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Tehran, Iran, warmly welcomed the newly appointed Head of Mission, H.E. Ambassador Salamu Koroma, at Imam Khomeini International Airport.

Ambassador Koroma, who departed from Freetown to take up his new role, is the accredited ambassador to Iran as well as six other countries, including Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.

The Acting Head of Chancery, Mr. Saidu Kamara, expressed his delight on behalf of the embassy staff, committing to full collaboration with Ambassador Koroma to advance the mission’s goals and align its activities with the vision of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio in the diplomatic space.

As part of the welcoming ceremony, the embassy staff presented a gift to Ambassador Koroma, expressing their honor and excitement to serve under his leadership. They acknowledged his exceptional contributions to international diplomacy, consular affairs, and public service in Sierra Leone.

With a wealth of experience and a distinguished career, H.E. Ambassador Salamu Koroma is poised to strengthen Sierra Leone’s diplomatic relations with Iran and the other nations under his jurisdiction. His arrival marks a new chapter for the embassy, fostering deeper collaboration and engagement on the international stage.
