He further noted that, after an intriguing engagement with the leadership and staff at British International Investment, we are thrilled to share that BII has identified Sierra Leone as a “strategic priority” country.

This means they intend to quickly ramp up their investments from the current $100m exposure in the country.

“The private sector in agriculture, financial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, etc, will benefit. We are promoting trade and investment as a strategic bilateral tool. We also agreed on an exciting event in Sierra Leone to be announced later.” He further stated.

“Sir Tony Blair and I have a great relationship. (As an aside, I think his book On Leadership is a must-read for all leaders in the 21st century.)”

Chief Minister further added that He had an engaging discussion on several topics, including the support the Tony Blair Institute offers to our government, new investment opportunities in Sierra Leone, and our favorite topic, social media monetization in Sierra Leone.
