Former Head of Department (HOD) of the Fourah Bay College (FBC), Emmanuel Ekundayo Shears-Moses is reported dead this Sunday.

Shears-Moses will be remebered for his service when he served the Sierra Leone Bar Association (SLBA) as President from 1999-2001, the Shears-Moses Comminission of Inquiry which investigated malfeasance at the Sierra Leone Prisons in Freetown and the investigation of the political fracas between the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the All People’s Congress (APC) in 2009.

The late man was cleared of corruption charges in 2022 by the Supreme Court in which he was accused of Abuse of Office and Improper Use of Office by the Anti-Corruption Commission. The former HOD at FBC Law Department was accused of improperly awarding a dissertation grade to one Alimatu Tity George between July 2015 and January 2016. He was also exonerated of allegation which said that the late man awarded an inflated grade to one Jamilatu Sesay.

Meanwhile, the family of the late man is yet to announce his funeral date.
