Following the recent gunfire turmoil in Freetown, the Sierra Leone Police have provided an update in response to another shooting incident at the Jui community in the eastern part of the city.
The police confirmed that in the ongoing operation to capture those accountable for the November 26th incident, several shots were discharged in the vicinity of Jui Barrack around 19:33 GMT. Fortunately, the person of interest has been apprehended and is currently in the custody of the security forces.
reports confirm that the gunfire incident at Jui Junction tragically resulted in the unexpected passing of Police Officer PC 17905 Sheik Man Kamara from Hastings Police Station. He was en route to his checkpoint duty at Maboreh when the incident occurred. Currently, his remains are situated at Jui Junction.

What additional security measures will the Sierra Leone Police implement to safeguard officers in the line of duty following the tragic incident at Jui Junction?
The people of Sierra Leone have rights to protest peacefully and that was what they did on September eleven. The constitution of Sierra Leone gives the rights to the people of Sierra Leone to protest or demonstrate against certain things they are not satisfied with. The main duty of the Sierra Leone police is to protect Lives and Properties. The main duty of any president in any country is the protect the constitution of of that country and the people of that country. In Sierra Leone the president does not protect the constitution and the people of this county. In the same way, the Sierra Leonean forces ( the police and the military) do not protect the people and their properties. Sierra Leone now is the only country in the world where the president does not allow any protest. The current President and his PAOPA supporters call any protester or any group of people who protest against anything in this country as “Terrorists.” This is not a Democratic state!! The president also instructs his PAOPA security forces to kill and arrest protesters/demonstrators. For sure, Maada Bio is not democratic. Let us all think as Sierra Leoneans. Is this a way of governing a country?? By the way, Maada Bio has NEVER at any moment, spoken against the killings of armless protesters done by his PAOPA security forces. Instead of even condemning the act of killing, Maada Bio normally promote those officers who kill innocent people in this country. Maada Bio secretly celebrate by dancing when his rebel forces report any killing especially in the North Western regions. Maada Bio has not only destroyed the name of his family but has also contributed to the destruction of the SLPP party. Indeed, Maada Bio, his PAOPA killer forces, ECSL Boss and some of his ministers will have to face the ICC Prosecutor for the so many crimes committed against the people of Sierra Leone. Of course Abass Bundu as a professional lawyer has adultrated the conctitution of Sierra Leone for his selfish interest. Many officers of the PAOPA regime will have to be investigated by a “Commission of Inquiry” which will be setup by the next government.
