The Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, marking a major step toward deeper regional digital integration.
The agreement outlines a shared commitment between Sierra Leone and Nigeria to advance a stronger and more connected digital future. Under the MoU, both countries will collaborate on digital public infrastructure, innovation, youth digital skills, and cross-border digital trade.
According to the ministry, the partnership aims to create interoperable systems that “speak to each other,” paving the way for a more integrated West African digital economy.
The cooperation is expected to boost innovation, expand opportunities for young people, and enhance digital services across both nations.
