The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has extended a warm welcome to Ivorian side, San Pedro FC, as they arrived in Bo City ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League preliminary round clash with local giants, Bo Rangers.
SLFA President, Thomas Daddy Brima, personally led the Bo Rangers team in welcoming their Ivorian counterparts, assuring them of the association’s full support throughout their stay. Expressing confidence in Bo Rangers’ chances, Brima stated, “My Executive Committee Members and I wish Bo Rangers wallop victory in their first preliminary CAF Championship match against the Ivorians.”
The highly anticipated match is set to take place on Saturday, August 17th at the Southern Arena in Bo.
Bo Rangers, the reigning three-time Sierra Leone Premier League champions, secured their spot in the CAF Champions League after clinching the domestic title. Their opponents, San Pedro FC, are a seasoned continental campaigner with a strong reputation in Ivorian football.
The winner of the Bo Rangers-San Pedro tie will advance to the second preliminary round where they will face the victor of the Libya 2 vs Sudan’s Al-Hilal match.
The first leg of the Bo Rangers-San Pedro encounter will be played in Sierra Leone, with the return leg scheduled for Ivory Coast.
