The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Executive Committee has appointed the Secretary of Bai Burreh Warriors Football Club, Alhaji Salifu Kargbo, as a member of the SLFA Youth Football Committee.
The appointment was announced in a press release issued on Thursday, 22nd January 2026, and signed by Ibrahim Kamara, Head of Media and Marketing at SLFA.
Alhaji Salifu Kargbo’s inclusion on the committee is seen as recognition of his commitment to grassroots football development and his administrative contributions to the game, particularly in Port Loko District and the Northwest region of Sierra Leone.
Following the announcement, congratulatory messages have poured in from football stakeholders, sports administrators, youth coaches, and community members in Port Loko and beyond, describing the appointment as well-deserved and a boost for youth football development in the country.
Many have expressed confidence that his experience at club level will positively contribute to the growth and organisation of youth football across Sierra Leone.
