In a compelling statement, Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Abass Bundu, has spoken out against allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him, asserting that there is evidence of conflict of interest, embezzlement, and corruption within the Parliament administration.

Dr. Bundu contends that the accusations of sexual harassment are a diversionary tactic aimed at shifting public attention away from the serious allegations directed at the Clerk of Parliament, Hon. Paran Tarawally, and his wife.

In a social media post, Dr. Bundu expressed, “You cannot use the argument of morality to undercut the law when evidence abounds that legal abuse of office, conflict of interest, embezzlement, and corruption is rupturing the administration of Parliament.”

He strongly maintains the cleanliness of his actions, stating that his hands are “clean as a whistle” and expresses a willingness to subject himself to legal scrutiny. As the Speaker addresses these allegations, the spotlight intensifies on the broader issues surrounding the administration of Parliament.
