The death is announced of Elizabeth Sengeh, Communication Officer at State House, who died midnight on the 17th May, 2022.

Friends and family of Elizabeth Sengeh confirmed her death with profound sadness this morning. one of them posted “We just lost Elizabeth Sandy, former student of Mass Communication and Communication Officer at State House, may her soul Rest In Peace… @Legal Fonz.”

According to a colleague, Elizabeth died while giving birth to her baby.

*Biography of Elizabeth Satta Sengeh*

Elizabeth Satta Sengeh was born in Brookfields, Western Freetown, on 3rd June, 1994.

She was born to two working class parents-Thomas Sheku Sengeh and Gladys Ngebu Squire. Her father hailed from Sahn Malen in the Pujehun District and her mother hailed from Kori Chiefdom in the Moyamba District.

Elizabeth Satta Sengeh started her academic career at the Boncilia Nursery School at Forth Street in Freetown. She did her primary education at the St. John Primary School where she sat to her National Primary School Education (NPSE) certificate. She started her secondary school at the Methodist Girls’ High School in Congo Cross. She continued at the Beacon High School where she took her WASSCE exams.

She started her higher education at the Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone (USL) where she did her Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication. Before her demise, Elizabeth Satta Sengeh was pursuing a Master’s Degree in Development Management (MDM) at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM).

After acquiring her Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree, she did her internship at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

In March 2019, she was appointed Strategic Communications Coordinator in the Office of the President at State House, a position she held until her demise.

As a devoted Christian, Elizabeth Satta Sengeh was a former member of Sanctuary Unit at the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel in Freetown.

Her hobbies include praying, reading and watching football. She was an ardent supporter of Manchester United Football Club.

Elizabeth Satta Sengeh had two children before her death. She would be surely missed.
