The highly-placed Auditor General, Mrs. Lara Taylor-Pearce Pearce, has been suspended indefinitely by the Office of the President.
According to Umaru Fofana, Mrs. Lara Taylor-Pearce confirmed receiving a letter from the office of the President which among things states that the Attorney General is to set up a tribunal to look into Audit Service Sierra Leone for lack of professional performance.
Mrs. Pearce said she doesn’t know what wrong she and of her deputies were suspended for, adding that she doesn’t know what is the tribunal will be about.
Reports indicate that the Auditor General has been suspended ahead of the release of the FY2020 Audit Report which is alleged to indict the Minister of Finance and sState House Officials.

Mrs Pearce is known for her continual release of audit reports about the financial management of state resources by governments.
