Political Commentator and former Sierra Leone Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children Affairs, Dr Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, has raised an alarm over a mysterious animal found at her compound early today, the 28th February 2022.

According to her message posted on tweeter, her security found a Barn Owl which is called KorKor in Sierra Leone, at her back door in the early morning hours of today.

She then took a picture of the bird together with a video to her twitter timeline with a caption;  

“Video of animal caught at my back door this early morning. Some say it’s a harmless BARN OWL. Others however say it’s an AFRICAN WITCH BIRD known traditionally as a KORKOR. Whatever the case, it is intriguing so I have prayed for God’s continued daily protection & guidance. Amen” 

What does this mean for the political commentator? Could she be under spiritual attack? These are but questions we are keen to find out very soon, because even the political commentator is somehow convinced that such occurrence is extraordinary.  

As it is like a tradition among the local People, especially with the superstitious Sierra Leoneans, that when such bird is seen around or near a compound, it means bad omen and as such obscene languages are used to chase it away. fascinating!

And to think of it, the Political commentator seems to dwell in such beliefs, because when you take a look at the video she posted, she even made a statement that the owl’s (KorKor) face resembles a human.
