Ambassador Dr. Phrancis Momoh, Sierra Leone’s Special Envoy for Trade, Investment, and International Relations on Tuesday held a series of very constructive trade discussions with key executives of a significant Spanish firm, Porcelanosa.

Headquartered in the Spanish city of Villarreal, Spain, Porcelanosa is a leading player in external construction and internal design materials, specialising in a diverse range of products such as ceramic and porcelain fittings, wall and floor tiles. They are also experts in the production of wood parquet, hardwood, natural stone, and mosaics, alongside a variety of kitchen equipment.

The promising discussion, held in the Spanish city of Villarreal, focused on the potential establishment of a major hub in Sierra Leone, thereby bolstering Porcelanosa’s global presence.

The meeting brought together Ambassador Momoh and key Porcelanosa figures, including Antonio Romero (Export Director), Jose Maria Segarra (Executive Director), and Pablo Bort (West Africa Manager), marking the initial steps towards realizing the ambitious goal of setting up a major industrial footprint in Sierra Leone.

With a vast network of over 970 stores worldwide and a growing presence in key global cities like New York, London, Paris, and Milan, the locations of Porcelanosa showrooms epitomize the Group’s extensive reach across continents.

As discussions progress and plans unfold, the potential entry of Porcelanosa into Sierra Leone underscores the Group’s steadfast commitment to international collaboration. This move will also highlight the determination of H.E. President Bio’s government to cultivate meaningful partnerships with prominent global players across various sectors, including design and construction.
