President Julius Maada Bio has successfully served Sierra Leoneans contrary to opposition views of it being a wasted five years. He is now seeking re-election on June 24th, 2023.

The unexpected outbreak of the Coronavirus in 2020, seriously brought the world economy to a slow pace due to frequent lockdowns; one of the means of combating the pandemic.

As the world was trying to recover from the debris of the virus, then came the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

While the war continues to be physically fought between the two countries, there is hardly a country in the world that was spared from the harsh reality of a global economic crisis.

This was because Russia as a major supplier of petroleum products was placed under EU sanction and Ukraine as a major supplier of wheat was cut off from the rest of the world.
This made the prices of various commodities increase unimaginably across the globe.

Sierra Leone being a net-importing country of almost every commodity was not spared by the global energy and food crisis.

Amidst these difficulties, President Bio was able to steer the mantle of leadership by successfully rolling out his flagship programs, the Free Quality Education, and other manifesto promises he made.

Within his five years, over 1,000 classrooms have been constructed countrywide which has made more pupils return to school.
Teachers have been recruited to meet the soaring number of pupils in remote areas.

An increase in the salary of teachers, the completion of the Bo-Bandajuma road network. The completion of the Moyamba Junction to Moyamba township road. The completion of the never-to-be-forgotten Hillside Bypass road and lots more around the country despite the wavering of taxes by the government to cushion the impact of external shocks.

While some economic analysts were predicting a downturn in the global economy, President Bio has prudently managed Sierra Leone’s economy much to the admiration of international partners like the World Bank, the European Union, and the rest.

An increase in the high level of trust in President Bio’s leadership has seen the disbursement of funds from the World Bank and the European Union in support of his well-prioritized projects.

Under the leadership of President Bio, Sierra Leone now has a brand-new International airport which many thought was not possible.
This will see the return of big commercial flights to the country since our airport has been certified by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

President Bio has also been able to service inherited domestic and foreign debts which naysayers were seeing as impossible

The energy revolution can be felt in hard-to-reach communities in the country as more homes have been connected to the national or mini-grids.

In the next five years of his administration, President Bio has promised to prioritize agriculture as a way of using local solutions to local problems. This is expected to cut down on the importation of the country’s staple food rice and other essential goods.

All these developments could only be realized if we collectively vote massively for President Bio for a second and final term in June 2023.
