It is now clear that talks on the tripartite have come to an end. The tripartite committee is believed to have held on the All People’s Congress party and the government to ransom in the last one year of President Julius Maada Bio second and final term as President.

Several quarters of the APC party have accused their executive and the former Leader of the party, Dr Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara for his show of woeful failure in a push for a re-run of 2023 elections.

Many have ascribed their leaders of politicians only bent on collecting monies from a sitting government everyone had perceived as lacking legitimacy to run a second term after the controversial electoral process of June 24, 2023.

Thousands, if not, millions of Sierra Leoneans are of the view that Dr Samura Kamara truly won the 2023 elections and these people still hold the perception he is the rightful winner and so they’ll continue to fight “It is not yet over yet,” they say.

The recent development by APC is that the executive wing of the party and regulatory body resolved to move on despite Dr Samura Kamara has failed to push for electoral justice.

Many stakeholders of the party have confirmed that there is not going to be a re-run and so the party should now start the preparation for the 2028 elections’ race.

Many said Dr Samura Kamara is not a winnable candidate since he was only handpicked by former President Ernest Bai Koroma.

Others have pointed out that Dr Samura is a coward leader who relies on his thoughts than working with the executive of the party for progress and to achieve collective goals. Some senior members have claimed that Dr Samura Kamara is a sellout. They stressed that he had never made strong messages during the campaign periods that would have protected the people’s votes.

“Dr Samura Kamara is a failure and he has been used and misused by the regime,” one supporter Alusine Kamara said.

The APC party has reached a resolution promising to forge ahead with their party activities to catch up for time against 2028 elections calendar. The party, lately, in a press release, had called all APC members to verify, register and recruits new members. They said there are lots of duplications with other seripus problems needed to be addressedén the next few months. “We will deliver for the APC party and the country, come 2028 elections,” says one of the executive members.
