Minkailu Koroma a senior member of publicity and communication unit of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC), disclosed that the party recently met to chart the way forward for the ongoing peace and reconciliation process and also the way forward for the party’s upcoming political activities.

According to Koroma, the efforts of some members of the party’s Elders Council in fostering peace and reconciliation have not gone in vain as the Makeni Resolution has started yielding fruits.

Among the APC big guns that were in attendance, he disclosed were, Alfred Palo Conteh, Momoh Vandi, Keifala Marah, Abu Bakarr Kalokoh, Dr. Samura Kamara, Ansumanar Usman Koroma, Alimamy Petito Koroma, Alhaji Thonkla Bangura, Hon. Kemoh Sesay and Mohamed Sesay.

Koroma further disclosed that the said Elders Council members are currently trying to resolve the existing rift between the leader of the party and the national executive that has led to accusations and counter-accusations of bribery against the two sides,

Koroma also stated that as a way to make the party better, both sides have agreed to make the necessary sacrifices and pay the required price and prosperous ahead of the forthcoming 2026 APC National Delegates’ Convention (NCD) and the forthcoming 2028 general elections

Koroma affirmed that all the members who were present at the meeting agreed that unity is the only way forward and that it is high time the party spoke with one voice.
