Leader of the DIB Movement and All People’s Congress (APC) lead flagbearer aspirant, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura on Wednesday joined Muslim worshippers and residents in Makeni for Eid-ul-Adha prayers, reaffirming his message of peace, unity, and national cohesion.
Dr. Bangura participated in the congregational prayers alongside central and local govt officials, community leaders, youths, elders, and supporters as Muslims across Sierra Leone and the world commemorated the important Islamic festival.
Speaking shortly before the prayers, he emphasised the need for Sierra Leoneans to embrace peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and collective nation-building, consistent with his movement’s mantra: “Heal, Unite and Build.”
He noted that Eid-ul-Adha symbolises sacrifice, compassion, obedience, and solidarity; values he said are critical to fostering national unity and sustainable development in Sierra Leone.
Dr. Bangura also used the occasion to encourage citizens to rise above political, regional, and ethnic differences and work together in the interest of peace and progress.
His presence in Makeni was warmly received by thousands of residents and supporters who commended his continued engagement with communities across the country and his message of reconciliation and inclusive leadership.
