A statement from 14 political parties reads that they disassociate themselves from the protest of a Sierra Leonean called Abdul Will Kamara aka Adebayo on the 12th and 13th June 2023.

They stated that it came to their attention that Adebayo is orchestrating a protest around the country and they are distancing themselves from it saying that they did not support the act at all.

They said in the statement that they hereby jointly agreed that to disassociate themselves from that call and denounce the said pronouncement.

They also condemn the persistent attacks on the Chairman, Commissioners and staff of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) by the same person and other social media activists.

They said that they are satisfied with the disaggregated data issued to political parties by the ECSL. They also called on multi-lateral partners and civil society organizations to be moral guarantors of peace and denounce the call of Adebayo.

They called on the Government of Sierra Leone and The Netherland to put resources together to put the person to order.

In the end of the statement which all the 14 political parties signed to, they admonish political parties to keep to their date as stipulated in the ECSL campaign calendar in the conduct of their campaigns.
