The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, Babadi Kamara, has joined 54 Member Association Presidents from across Africa in a high-level strategic meeting with Confederation of African Football (CAF) President, Patrice Motsepe, and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) President, Gianni Infantino.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver, Canada, and provided a crucial platform for African football leaders to engage directly with global authorities on key development priorities, governance issues, and the future direction of the game across the continent.
Discussions centred on strengthening football structures, improving governance, and maximising growth opportunities for Member Associations, as part of a broader effort to advance the sport in Africa.
Kamara’s participation underscores Sierra Leone’s increasing visibility and active role in global football decision-making processes. It also reflects the SLFA’s strategic efforts to position itself more prominently within both CAF and FIFA frameworks.
The 76th FIFA Congress continues to serve as a major convergence of football leaders worldwide, shaping policies and fostering partnerships aimed at driving the development of the sport at all levels.
