The Sierra Leone Football Association Premier League Disciplinary and Protests Committee has fined FC Kallon NL10,000 in contempt of the Committee.
The contempt is due to FC Kallon refusal to honour a replay match between Kallon FC Versus Wilberforce Strikers on 18th July 2023.
In a recent decision of the Committee dated 11 July 2023, the Committee confirmed that it received a Referee’s report of the scheduled match, which was to be played on 18th July 2023 at the Attouga Mini Stadium.
The said Referee’s report indicates that FC Kallon did not show for the match. According to the Referee, they waited until 17:15 before leaving the field.
Since FC Kallon failed to honour the match, the Committee resolved that FC Kallon forfeits the match and Wilberforce Strikers are awarded 3 points and 3 goals.
Excerpt from the committee statement Justifies “Law 4. Article 24 deals with forfeiture of matches. In Article 24.1 (g), it is stated that a team that fails to report for or fails to honour a match without just cause forfeits the match.”
FC Kallon have been instructed to pay the fine into the Sierra Leone Premier League Board account held at Commerce and Mortgage Bank, PLC.
