There is currently a mounting uncertainty surrounding the golden boot award being given to FC Kallon’s prolific striker, Alie Conteh.

Doubts surfaced on Wednesday when the Premier League Board cancelled a match between relegation-battling, Wilberforce Strikers and FC Kallon.

Conteh scored four goals in the match but ended abruptly in the 78th minutes.

The Board noted that the earlier end due unsportsmanlike conduct.

They rescheduled the remaining 12 minutes of the match to be played at Attouga Mini Stadium on Monday but the Cavaliers did not honour the fixture.

Although no official excuse was made by club, rumours said the Cavaliers said the notified did not notify them early for the said match.

Meanwhile, Wilberforce refused a postponement of the match saying their players were already in camp for the match.

Consequently, all three-points were awarded to Wilberforce.

The move has been described as a miscalculated one from FC Kallon by football experts.

Conteh, who was recorded to have scored 23 goals this season witnessed his four goals against Wilberforce cancelled.

The FC Kallon striker now has 19 goals while Bo Rangers Abu Komeh is on 16 thereby making it likely for an upset on the final match day this Saturday.
