All time Sierra Leone Premier League Champions East End Lions have safely reached the shores of Lungi ahead of their first Premier League clash with newcomer Lamboi FC.The match is scheduled to kick off at 4:15pm at the Lungi Town Field on Saturday 10th December, 2022.

East End Lions FC have had the Sierra Leone Premier League 12 times in their name in diverse years ranging from 1977, 1980, 1985, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2005, 2009, 2010 to their last in 2019; and the Sierra Leone FA Cup champions 4 times in 1965, 1973, 1980, 1989.

In 2020/2021 Premier League season, East End Lions FC finished second in the league table with 62 points. The Killers as they are nick named, played 34 matches and had 17 wins, 11 draws and 6 lose.

As determined as they could be to bring the championship back to Freetown, The Killers have safely landed in the shores of Lungi as they prepare to clash with Lamboi FC.

Speaking to theHead Coach Francis Zappa Koroma, he disclosed that the team is of high spirit for the game, and that there is hope mixed with positive thoughts for the match.

“The Squad is in a very high spirit and full of optimism. We are very positive ahead of the match. We have great faith in our boys. The prospect of playing a Premier League match in Lungi for the very time in our history is something we look forward to as well” Francis Zappa noted.

“We know it’s going to be a good match as teams usually get extra motivation in playing East End Lions. We are the Killers and we are always ready to surmount challenges. I believe this match will not be an exception” Head of Delegation and Deputy Secretary General Alhaji Abdul Rahman Davies opined.
