In the aftermath of a pivotal match that saw Bo Rangers extend their lead in the Leone Rock Premier League table, FC Kallon defender David Janneh has stepped forward to publicly apologize to his teammates and fans for a costly mistake.

Acknowledging his error in the match against the Cavaliers, Janneh expressed remorse for his actions and vowed to make amends. Taking to social media, the defender conveyed his heartfelt apology, expressing his deep regret for letting down his team and supporters.

“Haven’t really slept until now, the scenes are still running through my head again & again. I’m infinitely sorry to my teammates, the fans & the entire staff of the Kallon FC. I know that I messed up & let you all down, I should have done better. Should have made a better decision. It hurts for me & it hurts for the rest of the team. Unfortunately, these things happen in football sometimes. These things haven’t happened too many times in my career but it’s a tough one. I will recover from this because I learn from things that don’t go well but I will take the responsibility. Please, you all find a place in your heart to forgive me,” Janneh expressed in his online statement.

The match itself saw Bo Rangers forward Suffian Kalokoh secure victory for his side with a lone strike in the second minute. Kalokoh’s goal not only separated the two teams but also earned him the coveted Man of the Match award. With this performance, Kalokoh has now tallied three goals in his last two appearances and contributed to a total of seven goals throughout the ongoing 2023/24 Leone Rock Premier League season.

As Bo Rangers solidify their position at the top of the league with 58 points, FC Kallon finds themselves trailing behind in second place with 45 points.
