Sierra Leone National Homebased Team Intensifies Preparation Ahead of Clash With Cape Verde

The Sierra Leone National senior men’s team (Leone Stars Homebased) has accelerated its preparation as the two legged clash against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2023 Qualifiers draws closer.

Technically headed by former Leone Stars’ right back Francis ‘Zappa’ Koroma, the 23-man home based squad is presently camped in Kenema where they are undergoing two sessions of training daily (morning and evening) with a high level of intensity and determination.

Sierra Leone is expected to host her Cape Verdean counterpart in the first leg of the tie at the Grand Stade in Marrakesh, Western Morocco on Sunday July 24 whiles the Blue Sharks will return the favor of playing host on Wednesday, July 27 this year at the same venue as both countries currently lack a CAF approved home stadium.
