Kenema’s Kahunla Queens FC have put to an end Ram K Football Club’s unbeaten run in the Women’s Premier League after securing a 3-1 away win over the weekend on Saturday, 3rd December 2022 at the Bo Coronation field.
Fatoumata Kala Traore opened the deadlock in the match for the host a few minutes before the first-half recess to give her side a 1-0 lead at the break, however, Adama Mansaray came from the bench to end Ram K FC’s clean sheet streak netting a goal to level the tally 1-1 earlier in the second half.
Kadiatu Kamara registered the 2-1 goal for Kahunla Queens to come from the back and took the lead, also marking her third in the league, while the top scorer Kumba Zainab Brima scored a late goal from the penalty spot netting eleven out of eight appearances.
Kahunla Queens occupies the second position with twenty-one (21) points, after recording seven wins and a defeat, they have scored thirty-one goals and only conceded six.
