Former president of the Sierra Leone Football Association [SLFA], Thomas Daddy Brima, has described the dismissal of former Leone Stars Head Coach, Mohamed Kallon, as a witch hunt.

Brima made this remark in an interview on Radio Democracy while speaking on the recent sacking of Sierra Leone’s National men’s team head coach.

“This is not about contract or qualification, it is a witch hunt, anybody who stands in the way of bad doings in the football industry will be eliminated,” Brima boldly stated.

Brima questioned the SLFA’s decision to provide government funds to Kallon on international trips without anyone raising an alarm, adding that no Sierra Leonean would agree to the statement that Kallon is unqualified.

He made instances with issues related to him over the SLFA congress, describing himself as a peaceful person who prefer the legitimate way of handling situations.

He disclosed that the current happenings in the football industry started during the SLFA congress in Lungi, which is unfortunate for Kallon.

He also disclosed that Executive committee which have the legal mandate agreed upon Kallon’s verbal appointment, and was communicated to the government, adding that he is against the statement of Kallon not having a contract after he started his duties.

He said there must be a legitimate reason for dismissing him otherwise he must be paid fairly.

According to him, he left the SLFA abruptly as he was illegally set aside with different lie stories like what is currently happening.
