Veteran and former Leone Stars striker, Kei Ansu Kamara has joined Major League Soccer (MLS) side, Chicago Fire.
The 38-year-for the African Cup of Nations (AfCON) after 25 years. The former Leone Stars captain played 32 games for the Canadian side scoring 9 goals providing 2 assists also.
This move will see the striker playing for his 10th MLS club, the most by any player in the league’s history.
The veteran is also the 3rd highest goal scorer and one of only 10 players to have scored 100 goals in MLS.
Kamara is the first and only Sierra Leonean player to have scored in the English Premier League when he was on loan at Norwich in the 2012-13 season.
The 6ft striker is also best known for qualifying Sierra Leone to the African Cup of Nations (AfCON) after 25 years.
Kamara scored the only goal from the spot kick against Benin to qualify Leone Stars in the previous in Cameroon.
