The Former President of Sierra Leone, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma attended the grand finals of the EBK Trophy Football Championship, held Sunday 25th December 2022, at the Makeni Wusum Field.

The EBK Trophy Football Championship was founded by Honorable Chernor Maju Bah(Chericoco) which has been dedicated in the honor of Former President Koroma for thirteen years running.

The competition continues to highlight the young people’s soccer skills while also inspiring them. This year, the Kholifa Stars from Magburaka took home the Trophy.

Thirty Thousand Leones (NLe. 30,000,00) was presented to Kholifa Stars as the cash prize and Fifteen Thousand Leones (NLe. 15,000,00) to the runner-up Bullom Stars.

At the end of the event, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma was presented a plaque to mark the beginning of a new year.
