In the on-going ICC women’s T20 world cup African division 2 qualifier, the Ladies Patriots of Sierra Leone are grim for gold as they make their fourth appearance.
The event is to be hosted in Botswana from September 2nd – 8th, 2023.
The back-to-back NWACC champions and 11-title sweepers at the Lagos Women’s Engagement are eyeing the uncommon grace that will shift them beyond third place.
Sierra Leone’s opening fixture at this eight-nation engagement will mirror in Cameroon on Saturday at BCA Oval 2. Both sides have squared off thrice, one in Botswana in 2021, the remaining two in Lagos in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Sierra Leone won all.
On Sunday, the Ladies will face Mozambique at BCA Oval 1 for a charge to maintain edge earned in the previous two encounters.
On Tuesday, 5th September, Sierra Leone will engage Eswatini at BCA Oval 2 for the first time in 12 years.
The Botswana Showpiece will entertain 15 matches spread across six days.
Winning two gold, two bronze and one silver in 12 years amid progressive strides, the Ladies Patriots are united to qualify to the next stage.
