Liberia has emerged as the champion of the 2025 Mano River Union Women’s U-20 Tournament, showcasing consistency, resilience, and tactical discipline throughout the competition.
The Liberian team secured 6 points from four matches, following their decisive 2–1 victory over Sierra Leone after all three of their previous matches ended in draws.
This crucial win was enough to place them at the top of the standings and claim the coveted regional title.

The closing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries and football leaders, including Mr. Babadi Kamara, President, Sierra Leone Football Association, Prince Kai Saquee, Vice President II, SLFA, Abdul Osman Turay, Chairman, North-West Region, and Mohamed Sorie Jalloh, Executive Committee Member.
Additionally, Pastor Philip Buck, Chairman, Western Area, Benedict Joseph Mogba, Chairman, Southern Region FA, Haja Ramatulai Kamara, Executive Committee Member, Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh, Acting General Secretary, SLFA
The Liberia Football Association was also represented with Executive Committee Member Kelvin Bayoh present to celebrate the team’s triumph.
The tournament once again showcased the rising quality of women’s football within the Mano River Union, with all participating nations displaying passion, talent, and true regional solidarity.
The final day at the Southern Arena in Bo was filled with excitement, pride, and a strong sense of regional unity as fans witnessed the conclusion of a tightly contested and memorable tournament.
