Former captain for Sierra Queens, Rashida Kamara has on her official page bid farewell to Armenia topflight female club Noravank SC.

The 23-year-old Sierra Leonean defender arrived in Armenia on Thursday, September 2, 2021 to complete the move that is said to be a two-year deal.

The Sierra Leone International defender told football Sierra Leone that her transfer to Novarank means the world to her, trading her career for the first time outside Africa in a 2-year deal.

Rashida had been an instrumental figure in neighbouring Liberia, where she has been helping Liberia female division side World Girls FC during the 2020/21 league season. As well-recognized player, she scored seven goal in all competitions and made 15 assists. Despite all the efforts, Rashida and team suffered a 4-2 defeat in post-match penalties after a 2-2 aggregate draw in the semifinals of the PetroTrade Cup.

After a successful International football player over the years, Rashida Kamara has decided to return to the place she calls home, a place which is part of life. According to the celebrity, her years spent in Noravank SC have been joyful and memories worth to be kept.

Rashida has had the dream of playing a professional football since she was very small. Her move to Noravank SC was a dream come true as she was opportune to see her dream of playing professional football has finally been achieved.

Today I must say goodbye to all of you, to a place I call my home, my colour and part of my life.
I never thought that one day I would end up playing professional football. It was with hardwork and dedication that my childhood dreams became true. I am proud to say that I have accomplished one of my biggest dream.
I’d like to say thank you to all the fans, that I have felt your support every minute that I have worn this shirt.
I’m taking with me a lot of memories, special moments that I will never forget. Thank you to the Club’s staff, team-mates and technical staff for the constant training and help during my time at the club. You all make this Club great.
