Following the late distribution of match tickets for fans  which led to a chaotic situation during the Algeria- Sierra Leone match last week, and in a bid to avoid it reoccurrence , the General Secretary of the Sierra Leone Football Association Christopher Kamara has publicly distributed 250 match tickets to Sierra Leonean Fans  ahead of the Ivory Coast encounter on Sunday, January 16 .

one of the beneficiary, African Young Voices Television Journalist, Amadu Lamarana Bah stated on his face book page that on Tuesday, match tickets weren’t available. Individuals had to help to get tickets for people to be able to watch the match against Algeria.

He further stated that they were all furious and agreed that they shouldn’t allow the same to happen again. He  cited that a group of young people protested against the Football Association President and the Minister of Sports, demanding that they apologize and take responsibility which they did and assured all that they will ensure that tickets are available a day before our next match on Sunday.

He commended the Football Association  by stating that  ”True to their words, I am happy to report that I have received and will want to believe that almost everyone has received their match tickets for the Sierra Leone Vs Ivory Coast and the Algeria Vs Equatorial Guinea match tomorrow at Japoma Stadium”. The second match ticket is complimentary for what they went through on Tuesday according to the SLFA General Secretary, Chris Kamara.

HE Concludes by affirming that ”this is the result of standing and speaking up when things are not done properly. Those in charge should listen, take responsibility, and do their best to solve the problem.
Now our dignity and respect have been restored, we will not go there and stand in the sun again to wait for match tickets.’
