The Sierra Leone National U17 team has suffered a three straight defeat in the ongoing Mano River Union Peace Tournament that commenced on December 27.

The tournament is expected to conclude today, Sunday December 31, 2023 at the Samuel K. Doe Practicing Field in Monrovia.

This prestigious tournament will serves as a crucial preparation for the upcoming FIFA and CAF U-17 competitions in the coming year.

Coach Alimu Koroma travelled to Monrovia with a 22-man squad and 10 officials headed by Abdul Karim Kabba for the tournament which has seen the Sierra Stars paired with Liberia U-17 in a four-match round-robin.

Criticism are high that Sierra Stars are unable to win any of their first three matches in the tournament considering the skills, zeal, and tenacity displayed in the course of the preparation for the tournament.
