Sierra Leone Police continued their impressive run in the early stages of the country’s Women’s Premier League with a comfortable 3-1 win over Albitaya Queens to move to the top of the league table.
Police, who had defeated Koya Queens in their opening match, barely had to break strides against Albitaya Queens, with Mabinty Sama, Elfrida George and Messie Swaray t netting before Gbassay Kamara got the visitors their only goal.
The win was two out of two for the ladies in blue as they stay top on goal difference with Mogbwemo Queens who are also with six points from two matches.
Goals from Kadiatu M Namara and Mabel Gbonjay gave Mogbewemo Queens their second win in the league defeating Kahunla Queens while Malema Queens defeated Sierra Leone Correctional Service 0-2.
FC Kallon’s female goals draw with Koya Queens moved them down to third place in the log while Mena Queens and VEM Buck Played to a 1-1 draw with Sarah Turay and Mariam Barrie both of the scores -sheet for the former and latter.
The other fixture of the weekend saw Patricia Humu and Ram-k end in a goaless draw.
